A warm welcome to Miresfield Farm Bed and Breakfast, here’s a little bit about the history of our farmhouse and the Sharp family who have welcomed guests for the last 40 years.
Miresfield is an 18th century Farmhouse, which has been in the Sharp family for over 100 years.
Before being converted into a bed and breakfast by Peter and Vera Sharp in 1983, Miresfield was one of many working farms across Malhamdale in the Sharp family, all farmed by Peter’s father and five brothers. The conversion of Miresfield farm house and outbuildings from working farm to bed and breakfast was done using all local tradesmen, using traditional building methods to maintain the look of the area, as you can see in our gallery below.
After a short closure and a full renovation in 2023 Miresfield is now run Michelle, granddaughter to Peter and Vera. Having worked in hospitality abroad and in the UK I have returned to the beautiful village of Malham in 2022 to take over the running of Miresfield Farm and will be the third generation of the Sharp family to welcome guests, and their four legged friends, to our Bed and Breakfast.
